ten minute break

Title: TEN MINUTE BREAK
Size: 10x10
When I paint on a flat surface, I like to cover the surface with newspaper. One reason is that I like to paint beyond the edges of my work, the second reason is that I can use the newspaper to clean off my brushes and scrappers. The papers are dried and saved for later use in collages and other works.
I used one such paper to do a quick drawing demonstration and later finished it in watercolor.

Fantastic! I love how refreshing this collage feels. First day of winter and I reminisce about a cold patio beverage on a hot summer day.

Lovely texture and transparent areas.

I have the same habit but now I have started using cheap acid free watercolour paper underneath instead of newspaper.
