going postal

The title of this collage is GOING POSTAL. I used translucent handmade papers, inks, watercolor, and a cancelled stamp image, all under a sheet of stained vellum. Mixed media Monday chose transparency as the challenge. This 5x5 collage is available for purchase by contacting artwithmoxie@cox.net

happy mothers day

This tiny collage honors my mother...the most creative person I ever knew. She taught me to see beauty in everything, applauded my every creative efforts and left me all to soon. The images in this little collage remind me of the teeny flowering weeds that push through the cracks of the cement walkway, staying minutes it seems, just long enough to bring beauty and pleasure. I miss you mom....

theme thursday

I have been demonstrating collage and the principle elements of design for my evening class. This collage is about texture. Among the bits and pieces of collage papers was an empty tea bag envelope. As everyone knows, if it doesn't move, it will get glued onto a collage surface. Theme Thursday's challenge for this week is tea/coffee. I stamped in the word tea along with hand made papers and two images from my line of art stamps.
My art stamps are available here.

deliberately mismatched

He thought she wore an aura of acquiscence. She was born under the sign of moxie. He gifted her one earring at a time, hoping to intice her and win her charm, but.....she wore them beautifully mismatched, she's no pushover.
Deliberately Mismatched is my new line of earrings born from a collection of single orphaned beads, odd handcrafted beads, charm stuff, and other creative stuff. They will soon be available for purchase...will you dare?
